    Position Overview

    Warehouse Lead is a position created to provide additional resources to the Warehouse Operations leadership team, while providing high potential hourly associates the opportunity for development and potential advancement. Warehouse Leads will develop their leadership qualities, overall business acumen and people skills needed to be considered for a supervisory role. 

     

    To be considered for this temporary opportunity, a high potential hourly employee must demonstrate a desire to move to the supervisory level in and a willingness to learn on the job.  Additionally, the high potential candidate must have a strong record of attendance, safety, performance and quality, and demonstrated peer leadership.  Warehouse Leads not considered for promotion after the temporary assignment will return to their original position.

    Responsibilities

    • Under the supervision of a Shift Manager, the Warehouse Lead will be responsible for directing the day to day hourly warehouse associates within an assigned AOR to achieve daily operational goals
    • Lead & follow-up on team activities & drive accountability within their assigned Warehouse
    • Communicate daily expectations with team members
    • Attend daily, weekly and monthly supervisor meetings
    • Attend or participate in management training classes for leadership development
    • Carry out assigned projects for leadership development
    • Communicate with other supporting functional groups within C&S
    • Promote a zero harm culture
    • Engagement with associates daily
    • Communicate Safety message, as determined by EHS
    • Support Performance, Quality & Attendance
    • Assist with hourly associate’s punches & time off data for entry into Red Prairie for payroll to run efficiently on a weekly basis
    • Follow company policies & procedures relating to scheduling, time-off, punch violations, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Must submit recommendation Letter from Supervisor or Management
    • Attendance is 1 point or less
    • Performance is consistent @ 100% or more
    • Quality is 2% or less, Gross Error Rate
    • Positive, can-do attitude; open to change
    • Team player; works well with peers; demonstrates leadership qualities on teams & committees, internally or externally
